Music lovers in Montgomery County will have a new place to geek out come 2017 when Guitar Center opens a 14,500-square-foot store in the revamped Ellsworth Place mall in downtown Silver Spring.
DC’s 14th Bluemercury Just Opened at Cathedral Commons
It’s pretty exciting when local brands and businesses make it big, and now with 95 locations nationwide, I think it’s safe to say Bluemercury has done just that. After its start as a Georgetown beauty shop in 1999 under Barry and Marla Malcolm Beck, Bluemercury expanded locally, then nationally, before being acquired by Macy’s in 2015.
Kung Fu Tea is Bringing More Bubble Tea to the ‘Burbs
Bubble tea franchise Kung Fu Tea is beefing up its presence in the D.C. suburbs. The cafe, which opened a flagship location in Rockville last summer, is poised to debut locations in both Silver Spring and Tysons Corner this year. There’s also a location in Annandale.
