Towson is getting a Whole Foods

Baltimore County is getting its first Whole Foods Market.

The high-end grocer signed a lease as the anchor tenant for Towson Row and is expected to open in 2018 or 2019.

Towson Row, a $350 million mixed-used project by Caves Valley Partners, will include 200,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of retail, 350 apartment and condominium units, a 200-room hotel and 300 student housing units. Construction on the five-acre site, located at the corner of York Road and Towsontown Boulevard, is scheduled to start in 2015.
