Nike wanted another retailer’s space in Georgetown. Aerie wasn’t having it.

Lifestyle and intimate apparel brand Aerie has exercised an option to extend its stay in a Georgetown retail space for another year, outmaneuvering sports apparel company Nike, which had hoped to supplant the American Eagle offshoot at 3235 M St. NW.
