There’s now a vast pipeline of supermarkets expected to arrive in Greater Washington in the next couple years — some of which signed leases up to three years ago, but are finally nearing an opening. Last year alone, more than 20 new stores signed leases in the region. While KLNB Retail has been working the Wegmans deals and bringing an army of Aldis on board, H&R Retail delivered three new Whole Foods Markets and a nearly 54,000-square-foot Giant Food in Fairfax.
