Costco lease at Mill Station
Costco was long on the radar of Kimco Realty to anchor a redevelopment on the site of the former Owings Mills Mall.
The wholesale club’s closest location is in Columbia, and Kimco saw an opportunity for the company to tap into not only the Owings Mills market, but Carroll County to the north and Towson to the east.
Kimco ultimately inked Costco to a 148,000-square-foot lease, a deal leaders with the real estate firm say set off a wave of new interest at the $108 million development. H&R Retail’s David Ward brokered the deal.
